Statement

Seth Barby abuses his authority and harrasses Jared Glover all the time, he stocks him and constantly tries to arrest him for anything. He also pulls people over who leave Jareds mothers house tell them that they need to stay away from that house because its a drug house, when it is not. Now he is harrasing Jareds sons, he called a kids dad to tell them that his son was hanging out with Tanner who is a druggie, which he is not. He went up to another person at the gas station yesterday and asked if he knew Tanner and if he went to school with him and warned him to stay away from him because he is a druggie. Tanner has never done drugs and is not a druggie. Jareds mother, grandma aunt has raised all three of Jared kids because of Jared's past addictions, but just because they are Jareds kids does not give anyone the right to treat them as crap because of who their dad is, they didn't have a choice in who their dad is. It is to the point that the defamation on the family is becoming over whelming. This is a small town and it is not fair to be stocked, followed, harrased and telling other parties about things that are not true. This has to come to a stop, Seth Barby acts like he is God with that badge on and he needs to be put in his place. It is not right what he is doing!

Oklahoma Open Records Act

Title 51 Oklahoma Statutes § 24A.1 et seq.

The Oklahoma Open Records Act is a series of laws designed to guarantee that public has access to all public records of governmental bodies. Section 24A.2 defines records as "all documents, including, but not limited to, any book, paper, photograph, microfilm, data files created by or used with computer software, computer tape, disk, and record, sound recording, film recording, video record or other material regardless of physical form or characteristic, created by, received by, under the authority of, or coming into the custody, control or possession of public officials, public bodies, or their representatives in connection with the transaction of public business, the expenditure of public funds or the administering of public property." This specifically includes all records of the transfer of public funds.

According to the Oklahoma Open Records Act, anyone may request public records and no statement of purpose is required. However, if the purpose is commercial, fees will be charged for document collection. There is no restriction on the use of records and the law does not specify a time limit for responses to requests.
