The funds were misappropriated and came ended up missing. As a result of his actions his responsibility was given to an independent employee to manage. Transparent Nevada shows Bermudez was paid $9,600 for Emergency Management in 2022 and he made a total of $150,000 salary in 2022. That is quite a bit of money for a small rural agency.
