Keith Duroy was on the scene of the shooting death of Bennie Edwards. Former Oklahoma Police Stg. [Clifford Holman](https://giglio-bradylist.com/citizen-report-no-1685559366-1400018781) was later charged with Manslaughter in the first degree, in violation of [21 O.S. 711-723](http://www.oscn.net/applications/oscn/deliverdocument.asp?box1=21&box2=OS&box3=711-723) in Oklahoma County District Court case [CF-2021-808](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=oklahoma&number=CF-2021-808&cmid=3952173) as a result of the use of force. Duroy was later named as a defendant in a federal civil rights case [Thompson et al v. Duroy et al](https://dockets.justia.com/docket/oklahoma/okwdce/5:2021cv01133/115995) due to the shooting death of Edwards. Officer Duroy, was not charged with any crime. [Body Camera Footage](https://www.koco.com/article/warning-graphic-body-camera-videos-released-in-okc-police-shooting-of-bennie-edwards/35653398) was released to local media outlets, showing what appears to be officer(s) shooting at the back of Edwards as he attempted to flee. Public outrage over the shooting resulted in local demonstrations and advocacy by the [OKC Black Lives Matter](https://www.blmokc.com/) group. Local [Oklahoma Fraternal Order of Police](http://www.okfop.org/) President John George reportedly told news media that Holman followed his training. [Detective Bryn Carter](https://giglio-bradylist.com/citizen-report-no-1685561668-1735030902), a 30 year veteran of the Oklahoma Police Department, investigated the shooting and stated in his sworn affidavit that Holman fired three shots “unnecessarily”. Months later in May of 2021, Detective Carter would recant his sworn statement against Holman, prompting [Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater](https://www.citizensoverseeing.com/projects/brady-disclosure/district-attorneys/district-7/2007-2022-prater) to file a "Notice of Potential Brady/Giglio Evidence" in [CF-2020-1806](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=oklahoma&number=cf-2020-1806).
