## Statement

Max Cook confirmed to the [Sapulpa Herald](https://sapulpaherald.com/controversial-former-rogers-county-assistant-district-attorney-now-at-creek-county/) that he hired former [Rogers County](https://giglio-bradylist.com/oklahoma/rogers-county-district-attorney) Assistant District Attorney, [Isaac Shields](https://giglio-bradylist.com/individual/isaac-seth-brantley-%20shields), while having knowledge that Shields had committed prosecutorial misconduct, by spying on jury deliberations (a [felony offense](https://law.justia.com/codes/oklahoma/2022/title-21/section-21-588/) in Oklahoma).
