## Official Statement

Major Chadwick Dickerson, a commanding officer with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested on Saturday, July 12, 2025, just before 4 p.m., following a serious crash in the Graham area. State troopers report Dickerson was driving north on 132nd Avenue East and failed to yield right-of-way, causing his vehicle to collide with an SUV. The force of the impact caused the SUV to roll onto its side, while Dickerson’s truck came to rest in a nearby ditch. The SUV was carrying six occupants—an adult woman and three adults, as well as children aged 3, 4, and 8. The adult female occupant was transported to a hospital with injuries, and Dickerson was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI and vehicular assault; he was later booked into the Pierce County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
