## Statement

On May 1, 2025, 18-year-old Ryan Hinton was fatally shot by a Cincinnati police officer while fleeing from law enforcement. Although the CPD has not officially disclosed the identity of the officer involved, multiple independent sources and social media discussions have identified Officer Cian McGrath as the officer who discharged his weapon. Body camera footage reportedly shows Hinton running away from officers when he was shot in the back.
