## Statement

An NCO existed between myself and Jessica Hanson. I am the restrained person. On 9/18/21 I was alone sleeping on the sidewalk under a bridge in Spokane, Washington when Jessica Hanson woke me up. She wanted to take my stuff. I told her no. She grabbed at my stuff (it was a large couch pillow) not once but twice. I repeatedly told her no. Then I told her to leave repeatedly. She refused to leave. Then she shoved me. I shoved her back and she fell down. She punched me after she got up. I punched her back. She punched me at least 10 times. I just stood there and took it. She was yelling almost the whole time, which attracted attention from the 2 ladies who called 911. The police arrived, interviewed me and I told them I did not initiate the contact, that she attempted to steal my belongings, that she pushed me and punched me. The police also interviewed Jessica Hanson and she told them she contacted me, she was the first to get violent, and that she struggles with drug addiction. I was arrested and charged with a felony domestic violence assault and violation of NCO. Only the NCOV was plead to as a condition that the assault would be dropped, I plead guilty and the assault was dropped. I must have had a terrible lawyer because the evidence did not show that I was in any way guilty of assault, it was Jessica Hanson that was guilty; yet, the prosecutor had me believe that he could convict me and filed the felony charges even though there was no evidence that I had done any unlawful act.
