## Statement

Mr Canaris was walking with a backpack when he was abruptly stopped by officer mcmaster and told he matched the vague description of who did something. The officer then proceeds to demand he remove his backpack puts him up against the car to search him. When Mr. Canaris looks at the officer the wrong way, he picks him up from behind, and falls backwards slamming his head and shoulder into the concrete with enough force to fracture his skull and collar bone. Mr Canaris spent 9 days in the hospital following this incident. Police later dropped charges against him, but reinstated them after they learned he planned to sue the department. Officer Mcmaster is still employed, and no action was taken against him.
