## Statement

Deputy Kehagias profiled a private citizen and went to his home to see about information on some wanted subjects. The citizen refused the officer entry and tried to close his door. Deputy Kehagias stuck his shoulder in the doorway and used the door hitting him to illegally justify entering the citizen's home. Allegedly a scuffle ensued and Deputy Kehagias shot and killed the citizen. He resigned and charges were dropped. Mr. Kehagias then went to work for NCSU Police as a dispatcher until Pender County hired him a couple years later.
