## Statement

Isaac Shields Bar #31424 and [George Gibbs, Jr. Bar #33888](https://giglio-bradylist.com/individual/george-%20gibbs) were found to have participated in potentially illegal misconduct when they observed jury deliberations in Rogers County Case # [CF-2018-465](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=rogers&number=CF-2018-465&cmid=312120). [FOX23](https://www.fox23.com/news/local/defense-attorney-files-for-mistrial-after-rogers-co-jury-was-spied-on-last-july/article_f92d1154-d7d4-11ed-a1c8-6b47f3d8301b.html) reported on April 10, 2023 that it is not clear whether the state's appointed outside counsel (and [Oklahoma Bar Association](https://giglio-bradylist.com/oklahoma/oklahoma-bar-association) President, Brian T. Hermanson) has moved forward with any disciplinary action on Shields and Gibbs Jr. So far, the only actions against the men were they were allowed to resign from their jobs in the Rogers County D.A.'s Office. FOX23 reportedly attempted multiple times to contact Hermanson's office on the matter, and their calls have not been returned. Listening to jury deliberations is a violation of [Oklahoma. 21 OK Stat § 588 (2022)](https://law.justia.com/codes/oklahoma/2022/title-21/section-21-588/), any person in violation of the statute "***shall*** be guilty of a felony".
