## ALERT

The Los Angeles County Probation Department presents a substantial *Brady/Giglio* concern where decades of acknowledged abuse, coercion, failed supervision, inadequate training, deficient reporting, and institutional concealment within county juvenile facilities remain unresolved, inadequately disclosed, or administratively minimized. In that posture, the credibility defect is not limited to identified abusers or supervisors; it attaches to the department’s entire custodial and testimonial system itself, creating substantial cause to treat all department witnesses, reports, recommendations, and detention-related representations as presumptively suspect until the agency and prosecution can demonstrate complete *Brady/Giglio* disclosure, reliable misconduct tracking, independent review, and verifiable separation from the institutional practices described in the case study.
