Wansick rehired [Officer Gregory Dillin Munholland](https://giglio-bradylist.com/individual/gregory-dillin-%20munholland), after the officer was a defendant on TWO excessive force cases ([15-CV-00130-RAW](https://giglio-bradylist.com/citizen-report-no-1665081880-844959924) & [13-CV-00512-RAW](https://giglio-bradylist.com/citizen-report-no-1665085451-1997076238)) that were settled out of court, knowing that the officer was involved in excessive force incidents and had [criminal charges in his history](https://giglio-bradylist.com/citizen-report-no-1665076706-111930296).

In relation to a a claim brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C § 1983 (Civil action for deprivation of rights) out of The Federal District Court for the Eastern District of OKlahoma (case # 13-CV-00512-RAW) indicate that on 09/13/2013, In an Affidavit, dated April of 2014, from Gary Wansick, then Chief of McAlester Police disclosing an internal investigation conducted by the department. He states: "However, I was unable to issue a final decision, due to Officer Munholland's resignation notice with the McAlester Police Department on November 20, 2013, the the investigations is moot."

Court records indicate that he later rehired Munholland, as OSCN Court records indicate that AFTER HIS RESIGNATION, Officer Dillin Munholland was the arresting officer, acting on behalf of the McAlester Police Department, for THREE cases, [CF-2014-00795](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=pittsburg&number=CF-2014-00795&cmid=32548) (filed on 12/10/2014), [CF-2015-00102](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=pittsburg&number=CF-2015-00102&cmid=32725) (filed on 1/29/2015), and [CF-2015-00140](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=pittsburg&number=CF-2015-00140&cmid=32764) (filed on 02/12/2015).

Any consideration of rehiring or continued employment would no longer render the investigation "moot".
