Sheriff Russell told Love County Sheriff's Deputies to stand down and not pursue the chase once it crossed into Love County. Miller and Haynes disappeared after the pursuit and Conn Nipp remains the last one to see them since their disappearance. On July 8, 2013, Around 12:45 AM on July 8th, Colt and Molly started calling for help. Molly tried to reach 911 but the call dropped. Colt managed to reach friends who went to search for him. Once his friends made it to Long Hollow Road, they found Conn Nipp but no sign of Colt and Molly. Two weeks later the vehicle involved in the pursuit, belonging to Nipps was found abandoned in the woods south of Oswalt Rd between Long Hollow Rd. and Pike Rd. in Love County. Miller and Haynes have not bee seen since. Conn Nipp later plead guilty to Felony Endangering Others While Eluding/Attempting to Elude Police on August 7, 2014 (See [CF-2014-00010](https://www.oscn.net/dockets/GetCaseInformation.aspx?db=carter&number=CF-2014-00010&cmid=12420) Carter County) the car chase and another unrelated car chase. He was sentenced to ten years in prison. He served roughly four years and was released in March of 2018.
