## Official Statement

The FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office executed a major takedown of alleged law-enforcement corruption in the Mississippi Delta area. Fourteen officers (current or former) plus six non-officer conspirators face drug-trafficking, bribery, and firearms charges, tied to escorting narcotics and/or proceeds across jurisdictions in exchange for bribe payments. The case underscores systemic corruption risks when law-enforcement officers collude with trafficking operations.
